I'M TALKING EAST COAST DESIGN ON CBC WITH STEVEN & CHRIS

Wow – what a busy spring it's been! I was on CBC TV in March talking East Coast Design – tons of fun if you like that coastal/nautical vibe in your decor as much as I do. Thank you S & C for having me, as usual I had so much fun and can't wait to be back next season! All I can say is too bad it wasn't sunny on the days we were filming in beautiful Chester, NS. The room looks better in the sunshine, like you can see from the picture above!

OUTDOOR RUG FOR A BOATHOUSE ON THE SEA

One project I'm working on is a beautiful boat house right on the Atlantic Ocean. The space is part of a large dock and will be well used by boaters, swimmers and those looking for some breathtaking scenery while lounging. The views are incredible! I'm doing a slipcovered sofa in a blue outdoor fabric, this will help with the wear & tear, it can with stand the salt water and can be taken off at the end of the season to be cleaned.

On the floor we'll go with a gorgeous outdoor rug. Here are a couple of outdoor rugs I'm considering from Capel Rugs (we sell this line if you're interested – get in touch). Can't wait to see this one all come together!

In case you missed the third floor makeover of my Chester, Nova Scotia home, it was featured on DesignSponge this week! So excited to see it! The whole house was renovated and it was a huge project, but this continues to be my favourite place in the house. I can sit here and look at the view all day long, and I still have to pinch myself.
