Excited to see one of my Alexander model suites in Halifax, NS, that I worked on for Killam REIT featured on HGTV Canada! It was loads of fun to be involved in this project from the start and custom design two model suites in the building. I actually had the opportunity to get involved very early on in the process, and walked to the top of the building when it was still very much a construction site (i.e. no windows or walls on the upper floors). I was sure I had a picture from the top when I was outfitted in the yellow safety vest and construction gear, but can’t seem to find that picture!
The Alexander is a beautiful new building incorporated into the historic Brewery market in downtown Halifax. It’s an incredible location with great waterfront views from some of the units. I designed two model suites from top to bottom, literally a blank slate, that were open to the public when the building opened in 2017. The model suite featured on HGTV was a bright, open, airy 1-bedroom with a balcony. There were lots of design tips and tricks which I rolled into this one, so I hope you’ll take a look at the HGTV feature here.
