There’s something about the change in season from summer to fall where we start think about making our homes cozy for the winter ahead, which reminded me of this fireplace makeover I did with the help of my guy, Ken, in a former living room of mine. I didn’t like the existing non-functioning fireplace, so I made some budget-friendly updates, turning it into a beautiful feature that fit the newly renovated space while looking original to the historic home.

I used a variety of antiques in this guest room - the bed, chair, blanket and artwork were all items I've collected over time.  I love how they add so much character to a room, the antique charcoal sketch above the bed is dated from the 1800’s
